 -ties Ventoniemi corporation got the first boost, when 22 year old young boy from Mäntsälä noticed that cars where his life. He was a farmers son but cars took him away from farming. It was year 1928, when this young man, Väinö Ventoniemi, bought his very first car and started driving taxi.
 -ties: Beginning of this decade brought changes. In national service Väinö Ventoniemi got feeling for much heavier tranportation equipment. So the taxi was changed into a truck. Trucking started from Mäntsälä and quikly spreaded into Jokela,which begame the new home of this young company.
 -ties: This decade was very unstable. Väinö Ventoniemi got an order to go and drive ”The ice sea road ”, between Rovaniemi and Liinahamari, from Finnish defence forces. This road begame the only way to outside world for Finland during the war. In the year 1945 bus trafick was started as well. It was started with one line via Jokela, Hyvinkää and Helsinki. This bus had room for ten passenger only, but there was room for some goods and milk also. This line is still driven by the same company - altough with todays buses.
 -ties brought growth to Finland. So Väinö Ventoniemi built office and big garage with car,bus and truck service facilities to Jokela. As a far-reaching company and man he also purchased some areas to dig and sell gravel. Since the growth in bus and gravel traffic was huge, Ventoniemi began to be already big employer in south of Finland.
 -ties The Finns were hit by a need to travel. Not suprising , that in the year 1965 Väinö Ventoniemi was putting up the Travel agency of Hyvinkää. Bus traffic got bigger through many take overs of other companies and Hyvinkää got their own new branch. Field of operations were separated. This was the begining of Ventoniemi corporation and Ventoniemen Sora corporation. These two companies became very strong family companies.
 -ties were very strong time of growth in Ventoniemi corporations.Riihimäen Liikenne Oy (close rival of Ventoniemi co.) has been transferred into part of Ventoniemi corporation. Bus traffic has expanded from one ”milkyway” into the company with 60 buses. Over 3,3million kilometers are driven in south and mid Finland each year. Charter journeys are growing a lot. Travel agency Hyvinkää has changed the name and is still known as Travel agency Ventours corporation. This travel agency has branches in Hyvinkää, Riihimäki, Järvenpää, Mäntsälä and Orimattila. Gravel is sold and driven, with company owned trucks, to Hyvinkää and capital Helsinki with its surroundings. Gravel is dug up from areas at Hyvinkää, Hausjärvi, Loppi and Nurmijärvi.
 -ties Ventoniemi corporation is very strong family business. There are over 150 persons in skilled work force. Changes into traditional bus traffic were introduced in the year 1995, when Finland joined into the European Union (EU). Traditional setup lines were put into the competitive situation and today most of the lines are based on different kind of contracts. At the begining of the decade Finland experienced an economic depression. 1990 -ties can be mentioned as a ‘decede of changes’ on bus business. Ventoniemi corporation has adapted well to meet these new challengies. 1998 the 70th birthday of the company was celebrated with happyness and confidence and our first double-decker bus, Neoplan Skyliner, was introduced. In our festive year we put effort into quality. Towards the new millenium we will travel with confidence and willingness to improve our service to meet our customer needs.
